Yanma odaları kapalı hücre biçiminde olup, doğalgaz için gerekli olan yanma havasını bir fan yardımı ile dışarıdan alırken, yanma sonucu oluşan atık gazları aynı şekilde dış ortama vermektedir.
Hermetik cihazlar bir hava akım borusu ile dış ortama bağlanmak zorundadır.
